It’s been a month since TLC broke VH1 viewership records with their tell-all biopic ‘CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story’, but since then it seems the ‘Waterfalls’ duo have fallen into a firestorm of controversy with former labelhead Perri ‘Pebbles’ Reid.
First, Reid threatened legal action for her negative portrayal in the film. This, of course, shortly before she alleged the members had an affair with her former husband/record executive L.A. Reid. Then, the ‘Mercedes Boy’ beauty alleged that VH1 supported her claims of misrepresentation by asserting the film was a “fictionalized portrayal” of true events.
Now, the latest beef comes with reports that the Grammy winning group have been dropped from EPIC records – a new deal made with L.A. Reid in July for support of their new greatest hits album featuring the single ‘Meant To Be’…
Fans were up in arms when they noticed the ‘Unpretty’ pair were no longer listed on EPIC’s roster. One fan even offered condolences which prompted a response from Chilli:

Pebbles must have gotten to LA Reid and used her, um, “skills” to make this happen if its true.

I’m pretty sure she opened better than avril lavine, cher lloyd her fiance Future etc so I disagree with this statement completely. The only artist on that label that opened higher than her is sara bellias and tamar( due to reality TV)

Too bad Pebbles wasn’t as strict on her son as she was with TLC. If she was, maybe he wouldn’t look like a beached whale swimming towards the shore in search of the nearest Taco Bell.
So it seems that Pebbles didn’t have basis for her lawsuit, which is why VH1 didn’t edit the movie & put a disclaimer on it instead. She must have gotten in LA Reid’s ear to convince him to do this, perhaps she has real proof of the affair & threatened to expose him if he didn’t. Time will tell if they still release their album.
Pebbles need to sit her b**** ass down and leave these women alone ugh.

Sounds like a typical vindictive woman. She’s still sore about the backlash she got about her dirty deeds. She can’t sue VH1 because she signed off on permission to use her name & image, so she had to have SOME clue as to how she would be portrayed. I’ll bet if she hadn’t been dragged on twitter after the movie premiered, the only thing she would be threatening to sue for is a cut of the profits.
LA Reid was there with them when all this went down. So why hasn’t he ever said they were lying on his son’s mother? pretty transparent to me….
Pebbles knows so many industry secrets. She probably threatened to expose Usher’s affair with Diddy or that Chilli and Usher’s relationship was arranged by LA Reid to keep the gay rumors at bay.
They need to sign to Missy Elliot’s Record label (Gold Mind Records).

I don’t think this is true. After all the success with the movie, i don’t see them just dropping them from the label just because a former one hit wonder got her feelings hurt. No shade, but Epic would drop Ciara long before they would drop TLC, from a business point of view. They didn’t cost Epic any money, and pebbles doesn’t have that kind of power in the industry.

If LA Reid did this to try and help his ex then this is one stunt that will cost him his career.
