Undoubtedly one of the year’s biggest breakout stars, Big Sean has made many sit-up and listen.
Aged just 23, the Detroit native is Def Jam / G.O.O.D Music‘s latest offering – and if the immense buzz surrounding theKanye West protégée is anything to go by, he may be one of their biggest yet.
We caught up with the rapper, real name Sean Michael Anderson, here in London last week – where he chatted it up with us about many a topic including his persistance in getting Kanye to support his cause, his rise to prominence, collaborating with Kelly Rowland and more.
Your thoughts?
Big Sean is the best! High as hell but the best. Great interview Sam
erm nooo, he wasn’t high he was just tired, American time and London time is completely different -______-
No offense, but why do some urban acts feel the need to wear shades during interviews??And all that jewelery..too much!I didn’t even watch the entire interview because you didn’t include the questions and it was tiring to watch only the responses.
Btw, I respect what he said about fame and success.Great points.
hes cute
Not just urban acts, doesnt lady gaga always have on sunglasses?! #justsaying lets take it back, Audrey Hepburn also always wore her signature sunglasses. And another reason why some urban artists do it is because it they are high like Sean is they dont like to show it in their eyes
@DJ Audrey Hepburn is another case, though.Big Sean isn’t successful enough to get arrogant. And that “hiding the effects of drugs” theory is what turns me off.If he’s a proper artist he shouldn’t be high during interviews. That’s just a theory, though. He took the glasses off anyway; I just don’t know why he had them on at the first place.Anyway…
The way he talks is annoying and why does he have to wear all that jewelery?
he sounds so tired… you can tell he is really really jet lagged
ummm @asap you have to be kidding right? So are you saying that only super successful people should wear sunglasses? Wearing sunglasses doesnt make you arrogant at all. I will say you are correct that you should not be high when doing an interview but let us face it, mosts artists these days are always high off something some just hide it better. Back in the 80s rocks stars would interview have slurred speech etc and everyone accepted it. Not saying marijuana is a lesser but id rather see someone high off weed in an interview than someone on heroin or p*** drunk. and nice_gurl branding an image in america is slightly different than the rest of the world, unfortunately excessive jewelry is just a common accessory in the hip hop community.
Man some of the comments you guys are posting is some BS, just congratulate Big sean on his success and keep it moving -__-
Elle Varner is a VERY talented up and coming artist and you can check out her new single feat J.Cole called “Only Wanna Give It To You” here>>> http://bit.ly/plqXLd
