September 30th 2014 marks the spot for Elijah Blake‘s forthcoming EP ‘Drift’, the follow-up to the streaming magnet that was 2012’s ‘Bijoux 22.’
Today, as to whet the appetites of his supporters, the singer has welcomed the release of its buzz bop ‘Strange Fruit‘, a Hip Hop effort dripping in sensuality and armed with slave ritual inspired harmonies far too haunting for even the staunchest of Urban music naysayers to ignore.
Unfamiliar with Blake’s work?
Take a bite below…
Let me give this a listen.
Guess he learned to stop oversinging.
Better not to oversing than not know to sing the f*** at all.
Omfg omfg omfg.
WHO? Btw R8 is coming to snatch, just wait on it. PUSSYONCÈ is going to steal her ideas again.
Lmfao even luke James dropped an album. This loser is never. Happening!
But his ep is gonna be on itunes.
LovelyBird’s, boyfriend.
Luke is a better singer but Elijah has the better songs, this knocks.
Yaaaaaaaaaasss at the hook, giving me Roots realness.
I don’t like it.
And we care because?
I hated the six song cos he was yelling mad loud but this is giving me life everlasting and I really don’t know what the f*** to do with myself. If his album sounds like his first project he’ll get my coins but imma need him to never do that six song again.
I like this, reminds me of an Aaliyah song, maybe man undercover?? not sure but this is hot
Who is he? Seriously TGJ stays supporting the most strange attempts at a viable debut album while badmouthing a lot of superior and legendary artists with 100 times the talent their faves have.
