Danity Kane‘s break-up remains one of the year’s messiest, muckiest, and muddiest stories.
Yet member Aubrey O’Day is pushing on — with the help of comrade Shannon Bex.
As reported, the blonde bombshells are working on a collaboration project which they’ve remained relatively mum on…until last night.
O’Day was spotted at the 2014 Hollywood Christmas Parade and was quizzed by Pacific Rim Video about the project, being assaulted by Dawn Richard, and more.

I wish them all the best of luck, Travis Garland has been helping them out and Radio is a brilliant producer who did a lot of work with Robin Thicke, nobody was slagging these girls off when Lemonade was kiiling it last summer, and no one cam say they were only good cos of Dawn, all 3 of them shined and the album is brilliant, so i think these 2 hard workers will do very well, its the right to live there dream
Danity kane fans are so delusional.Lemonade was killing this summer? Where? Definitely not on the charts or on radio. If Dk5 barely got a top ten hit with a reality show, diddy and MTV behind them, lemonade – no one cared it about Dk3 or Dk4. Why do you think ppl are gonna be in there for Shannon and Aubrey under a new name? I was their biggest fan but i stopped being delusional and realised its not gonna work for them. First of all they are too old to be playing dressed up barbies. Shannon is almost 35 for godsakes. The music industry is already saturated with raunchy Barbies and non talented singers are much more famous

I don’t know how I feel about this…. it just comes off as desperate, to me. Shannon has never been a real hustler (like Aubrey, Dawn & D.Woods) and Aubrey isn’t artistic at all, no matter how much she tries to pretend. It took her 6 years to release that EP. Her brand is mostly “celebrity” & s**. So I just don’t get it. She didn’t even explain her vision well. “It’ll be a little 80s, ya know. A new sound. We’re just mixing a bit of everything.” EVERYBODY says that. And 90% of the time it isn’t true. So what exactly are you saying? Maybe this team of herse will help her bc I don’t see any direction, at all. I’m not too fond of Dawn’s fault in the break-up, but to be honest, she was the most creative/artistic in the group. Her writing skills are impeccable & her music videos are always so dope. Especially for someone with no damn money as an Indie. Regardless, I wish them all (5) the best. Obviously it wasn’t meant to work out but I’ll always love DK.

But as for for the DK3 girls, Aubrey was s** appeal, Shannon was the amazing dancer, and Dawn the creative one. None of the girls all have it They all 5 had the X Factor collectively. D. Woods was Urban appeal, and Aundrea the vocalist.
I’m really excited about this. I love both of their voices and the contrast between them. Aubrey has a s***, raspy tone. Shannon has the classic pop-girl aound, except she actually has vocal technique and sounds good.
I think D.Woods and Dawn have always wanted to use this as a platform to become individual artists. Aundrea has always been wishy-washy about everything, but Aubrey and Shannon have always been dedicated to the idea of a girl group.
I think they’re going to do great. Especially when they start collaborating with other artists.
is a successful duo possible? Yes. Probable? Not so much. Nina Sky had a moment but lost their way creatively. TATU also had success in the more traditional pop rock market. I’m here for it because I’m a fan, but this feels like a Hail Mary pass on 4th down with 10 seconds on the clock. If it works it’ll be a miracle and they’ll get their shine, but how often does a jail mary really work?
they would be successful, had they not already had 5 line up changes (DK5, DK3 once diddy fired aubrey and wanita, DK2 (dawn and aundrea), then DK4, then DK3 and now this). Had i been a fan (thankfully i’m not), I would not be investing anymore coins in these women who f** up peoples time and money.
the DK3 Shannon, Dawn, Aundrea you speak of wasn’t even a group. They didn’t record and only fulfilled like one appearance obligation. Not to mention, for NOT being a fan you sure do know them like the back of you hand. No sip on that tea!
Aubrey stays blaming other people for the break-ups even tho she is the only common thread in all of the drama.
– First she was BFFs with aundrea, until she decided to change with fame and put her movie career (where is that now btw) ahead of the group
– Then she became Ebony & Ivory with Wanita, who also encouraged her to change her image – until wanita didn’t come back for the reunion and aubrey decided to shade her on tour during lemonade
– Then she became close with dawn calling them ‘Dawbrey’, until she couldn’t stand the fact that Dawn was the only consistent singer in the group and started re-recording vocals without her – then she got popped in the back of the head LOL
– Now she values Shannon so much, despite the fact we that never saw them really speak to each other during the 3-4 seasons of MTB. its cool, I don’t see their friendship ending since Shannon is a Sheep and is type to let a bittch walk all over her.
Oh please! Regardless if they did talk or not, you saw an edited TV show made for MTV and drama. You make it sound like they never exchanged a word in their lives. You don’t know them!
GURL BYE & GOODNIGHT, why are you all up in my mentions. I’m not a fan but I watched all of the Making the Bands Series and this blog used blog about them like crazy. So in all of the hours of footage MTV had they specifically cut out the times shannon and aubrey spoke? gurl please.. anyone can use the ‘editing’ stance to fabricate arguments, disagreements or altercations, but it’s pretty difficult to edit scenes that didn’t take place – sure aubrey and sheepnon spoke to each other, but their relationship was obviously not that prominent since it was never mentioned in any of their testimonials or footage. LOL check your screen-name before you @ me, because if music really did matter to you, you wouldn’t be defending the musical version of ‘The Simple Life’. BYE
@musicmatters201 and as for the line-up changes, I’m pretty sure after the MTB4 season 3 finale, they put out an official announcement of DK3 so whether or not it lasted for a matter of seconds it still counts as a separate line-up. In total, including this new change, they have had 6 line-up changes with the same members which is beyond stupid. You pretending one of the line-up changes didn’t happen doesn’t take away from the fact that clearly these thots can’t get it together for the sake of making coins.
Do not twist my words, I never said they’ve never said a word to each other I said ‘we never saw them really speak’, which was the truth. Each season Aubrey had a bff to cling onto, and Sheepnon has never been in that category until Aubrey burned her last bridge with Dawn – If I were Sheepnon I would feel pretty used at this point.
Aubrey has used each of these girls to get what she wants. The only genuine relationship she had is with Aundrea before the fame at the very beginning. Aubrey starting being Shannon sister to get what she wanted because its two versus one (dawn). Too bad the Dk fans cant see that.

While Dawn was wrong for hitting Aubrey. She (aubrey)ended the group and that letter was to put their D2 s*** into motion. That was the plan all along. They were back in the studio recording music 5 days after the breakup. Like Dawn action gave her the reason to do what she wanted all along. She was already going behind Dawn back so I guess she got what she wanted.
Its weird she was the first one to start talking about dk reunion in the media before any of the girls, then things weren’t going as she hoped, she wanted to end it.
truth tea… this DK2 business was the plan all along for Aubrey, once she sensed she wasn’t getting that limelight that she expected. She has always positioned herself as the ‘star’, being the one who got acclaim in the first MTB series and apparently the one who contacted all the girls to reunite. The truth is .. everyone had their role in the group, Aubrey was their PR, Spokesperson, Hypewoman and Unpaid Stripper, meanwhile Shannon was the Dancer, the MotherHen, the Follower/Sheep and Dawn was the vocalist, the writer, and the naive one (naive for getting burned by so many people and not getting the memo). Once Aubrey realised her tired wannabe christina aguilera screeches were not getting the centre-focus she began tampering with vocals.
Whatever, what happened to the fact that Aubrey fought Aundrea and apparently beat her up???? She needs to not act like that has not happened. Hypocrititical b****.
