After taking mini-vacations from the #1 position on the Billboard 200 (thanks to Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Future,David Bowie, and more), it appears chart champion Adele is set to revisit the top spot.
Indeed, showing resiliency akin to its predecessor ’21’ (which spent a whopping 24 weeks at the top), ’25’s rebound to the chart’s summit came courtesy of her well-received performance of ‘All I Ask’ at the 2016 Grammys.
It appears not even a technical glitch and a few misfired notes would keep fans away from putting the album back to #1 for its 9th consecutive week. Tuck in below to see just how many units were shifted:
After a two-week vacation from the No. 1 slot on the Billboard 200 albums chart,Adele’s 25 is back on top for a ninth nonconsecutive week. The set rises 2-1 with 151,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending Feb. 18, according to Nielsen Music (up 25 percent). It sold 125,000 in pure album sales (up 23 percent).

She won every category she was nominated in that year though + at the time I don’t believe 21 had hit 8 million copies so no it isn’t losing steam at all. She has only released 2 singles and hasn’t even begun her tour. She will 100% pass the sales of 21 with 25.

This might be the more overrated Diamond selling album since Britney Spears… 21 actually deserved its numbers tho. 25 is a good album but not deserving all this Thriller type success. Anyways, congrats Adele.

This album deserves all of it’s success. “Thriller” has nothing to do with this album. This album has a little more variety to it then her last one, which was awesome too.. Adele is universal.
