There’s one place M.I.A. will certainly be missing in action from – this year’s Afropunk Festival. The ‘Bad Girls’ beauty may have recently lived up to the title of her song more than the event organizer’s would’ve liked when she spoke out against the current ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement.
As we reported here, just a few weeks ago she took to Twitter to silence the rumor mill who initially suggested she was no longer participating in the fest:
However, the fest’s organizers later cleared up the confusion by taking to Instagram to announce she would remain the headliner for its inaugural London run.

“After discussing the situation with the artist and the community, a decision was agreed upon by all involved that M.I.A will no longer headline Afropunk London,” festival organizers said in a statement on Friday. “This community is something we are incredibly proud of, and this community will always be a priority for us.”

Black males kill black males at the same rate, if not less than white males kill white males. There is no black on black crime! You kill the group your closest to. Latino males kill other latino males at similar rates, and asian males only kill other asian males. Generally speaking, it’s racist to deflect a conversation considering All races kill their own, the white male is the only color the ALSO kills outside their own race.. hence the need for a black lives matter.

There are many instances of disenfranchisement, racist bigotry, poverty, and social injustices in the world. Just because someone takes up a cause for mitigation does not mean other causes are deemed less significant.
