Pepsi has apologised after coming under fire over its Kendall Jenner-fronted new commercial.
Their apology below…
The ad, which sees the Kardashian clan member pacify police and protestors by offering a can of Pepsi to riot police, was slammed by millions who took to the net to accuse the company of capitalising on the growing social unrest in today’s world.
They had this to say about the response…

Why so many found it is to be offensive?
Watch these YouTubers’ take below…
Yas Pepsi for defending Kendall. Clearly u got to teach D*** Clark productions something
If I’m honest I still don’t see what offended people tho, I love this commercial
Idk why they are apologizing to her, she could’ve easily declined once she saw the direction the ad was going. She knew it was problematic
Did she though? People are outside protesting and she’s posing for pictures, then she hands her wig to a black girl, makes her way to the front, does something white, and then happily celebrates the fact that she saved the world. Sounds like her everyday life to me. I’d bet money she didn’t see anything wrong with it.
Anything related to that clan is trash.
People are just sensitive about everything. Bunch of Cry babies.
I normally feel the same way but in this situation…people have every right to feel some type of way. It just didn’t feel right.
Oh pls the kardahsian clan are very happy right now, especially kendel it’s got her free publicity and she’s all over the news cos of this. Any publicity is better than no publicity
I am living for the backlash, unfortunately it only means more publicity for those s l u t s .
It was a stupid idea. It’s better to not address, acknowledge, or reference social issues at all than to make tone-deaf attempts like this. And to glamorize it the way they did? Mess. Especially when you’re selling carbonated beverages. Unity, Peace, and Understanding? Bruh. Issa soda… Pepsi, really thought.
Screaming at Issa soda. Lololol. I can’t breathe
I don’t see the need to apologize. People make up crap. In which way is Pepsi capitalising on social unrest? I appreciate the concept because it would be a dream come true if this could be how protesting turned out most of the time. This is why people keep quiet about several issues and topics because the little crybabies find something to complain about with EVERY F*ING THING. It’s pathetic
Pepsi did nothing wrong people are so sensitive the commercial had a great message.
Shut up becky
Becky?
Oh yea the b**** that got your favs husband to cheat on her spineless stupid ass?
She still took him back damn the struggle too keep up an image.
Are u on meth?
I’m so tired of yo dumbass!
You should be tired of your favs fake fraud ass persona instead of worrying about me.
I think Pepsi was trying to pander, but they ended up trivializing socio-political demonstrations, as parties and photo-ops, instead. They “missed the mark” big time. They weren’t even close. Terrible commercial.
The commercial just sucked and was way too long!!
Folks, you don’t take a serious situation to promote a brand. People had their sons, daughters, husbands, and wives killed by cops resulting in scenarios like this. You use a model to pass a cop a Pepsi to make peace? Is that all it takes? Come on stop sleeping out here. These folks knew exactly what they were doing.
Umm, didn’t Beyonce have a whole music era doing just that?

Clueless aka majority of Beyhive
I see what they TRIED to do, but it was clearly to take an serious issue(s) and try to sell soda out of it. I took it as everyone needs to take a break from the hate and drink a coke. But the Muslim lady not being inspired until a Pepsi pops out, the protesters having signs in the same Pepsi Blue and Red colors, that clan member acting as if they stand for anything other than a check and attention (well, not her, she’s the only one that has an actual job) was a joke. If Pepsi want to help, give support to these causes, give water to Flint, give money to these organizations that is for equal rights. Don’t try to sell soda.
Stupid ass biatch
The protests, riots, bitching and complaining are tiring. Some people get off on being pissed off.
all i want is a pepsi.

People are such drama queens… no need to be so sensitive. Some people just like to create a hurricane from a tiny water drop. Get a life.
