A sensational meme of Rihanna and Lupita Nyong’o set Twitter alight so much it has inspired an entire screenplay to be written starring, you guessed it, Rihanna and Lupita.
Details inside:
…Netflix has nabbed a film project pairing Grammy winner Rihanna with Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o, in a concept that began as a Twitter sensation. Ava DuVernay (Selma) will direct, and Issa Rae (Insecure) is writing the screenplay.
Sources say Rae is already working on the script and the studio is eyeing a production start of 2018 after DuVernay completes her current film.
The problem with prosumption. Black twitter and the content creators and imaginators will never see a dime for their ideas.
And Tumblr. I think the most creative ideas are birthed on tumblr. But black twitter definitely wins when it comes to influence. Tumblr doesn’t have that kind of impact. So with creations on tumblr being started by all kinds of people, and black twitter having the platform and being greatly responsible for the heavy circulation in this instance and capturing attention, in a perfect world, multiple checks should be cut. The ORIGINAL creator should be credited and paid though.
I think the 2 online users who paid the original tweets will most def be compensated if they use their story line and idea.
this right here is about to be sooooo epic. At first I was like who on earth would think of pairing the two. Then I read the made up story line that made the pic so viral and I can’t help but love it. I can so visualize this! Here for ti!
Legends Only
I’m so OBSSESSED with this idea! I’m tuned all the way in!
