Jennifer Lopez journeys to the dance floor with dynamite new song ‘Us.’
Previewed live on stage last month, the Skrillex production arrives at an interesting juncture for the diva.
She’s been releasing a steady stream of songs for her upcoming Spanish album, yet this jam is sung entirely in English. J.Lo’s also readying a collaboration with Cardi B and DJ Khaled, which presumably will be in English too.
So, while it’s not immediately clear what the 48-year-old’s plans are, what is certain is that ‘Us’ awaits after the jump.

Can’t knock her for trying to keep her music current and radio-friendly, but this – much like many of the EDM-flavored misfires that tried to recreate the magic of ‘On the Floor’ – is not it. Simply put: it lacks replay value and could easily find itself getting lost in the fray of million other songs that sound just like it on the radio. That is, sad to say, assuming it ever even gets the chance to compete for listeners (due to Lopez’s age).
Here’s hoping the tune is not indication of where her next album is going. Again, by no means a bad song, but far from memorable.

I like it. JLO has always been either urbanpop or dance music. When she went urban more recently people didn’t like it. When she went pop people didn’t like it. Women of her age rarely please fans these days. If she cranked out a tonne of “on the floor” or “love don’t cost a thing” type of songs you would complain there’s no evolution of sound. Also this more like “waiting for tonight” in sound as opposed to ” on the floor” which had elements of house and Dancepop.
