Sales of Minaj’s first three albums were charged up by smash hit singles and the videos launched to support them in the market.
‘Queen‘ is yet to deliver an ‘Anacaonda‘-sized hit and now finds itself spinning out of the Top 20 merely five weeks after its unveiling as interest in the album dies down in the country.
This chart week saw the set drop five spaces to #21 and sell less units than Eminem‘s ‘Curtain Call‘ (released 322 weeks ago) and Travis Scott’s ‘Astroworld‘ which spends this week at #14.
What appears to be the cause? The rapper’s reluctance to galvanise the buying public with live performances and interviews in the nation.
For without them, the album will soon find itself cartwheeling out of the Top 50 and find herself in a sticky situation if this lack of interest spills over into her position as a touring act and harms her forthcoming European live trek.
Nicki has sold over 70 million pure units worldwide since 2009.
