T-Pain’s Manager Claims He Squandered Millions

Published: Tuesday 18th Dec 2018 by David

T-Pain is in the middle of vicious battle with his former manager!

Find out why below…

Chase Entertainment managed the singer/songwriter and now claims that he owes them over unpaid commissions they suspect he can’t pay because of his supposed spending habits.

They’ve hit with him a federal lawsuit with hopes doing so will force him to pay up and have laughed at the lawsuit he filed against them with this statement:

In a futile effort to come up with a negotiating strategy to help T-Pain leverage his way out of his irrefutable legal obligation to pay Chase post-termination management commissions, believed to be in excess of $1 Million, T-Pain finds himself reduced to fabricating absurd and baseless claims against his former manager. Despite repeated demands by Chase, T- Pain has refused to account to or pay Chase for their rightful share of commissions.

They also slammed him with claims that he wasted the millions they helped him earn.

Much of that money was squandered by T-Pain, despite Chase’s entreaties to T-Pain over the years that he control his profligate spending habits. Unfortunately, T-Pain’s financial self-destructive conduct continued unabated even after the parties ended their professional relationship.

T claims that he has given Chase bosses all the money he owes them and believes they were taking more than their fair share without his permission and says he was stunned when he learned that they didn’t have the necessary license to serve as his agent.

‘The Blast’ reports…

He sued seeking in excess of $1 million in damages and for the return of all commissions he paid since 2005.

Good. People don’t realize it but this is one of the few men who made R&B music go away with his AUTOTUNEs. Yes, I love his songs Bartender, and I’m Sprung, etc but at the same time the popularity of his music made real R&B musicians non-profitable to labels so we the public do not get to enjoy quality R&B music anymore. No labels seriously invest in R&B acts anymore

Think about it from a business perspective dear instead of a stan wars topic. T-Pain’s style of music is much cheaper to make than quality r&b records. For a quality r&b record, the label has to pay the singer, the songwriters, producers, sound engineers, and musicians (piano, keyboards, and guitar). T-Pain’s style costs a fraction of what it costs a label to make quality r&b but it came back to bite him now because even T-Pain’s music is out of style as labels only invest in popcorn microwave music that you forget about a couple months after its release.

All the label has to pay for is the artist and a producer. No musicians or real singers are needed. Thus, this is not a stan wars topic because I am a music consumer of numerous r&b artists. Simply put, new quality r&b does not exists so I have nothing to buy. 🙁

        Thanks T. Pain.

Don’t think so. Rnb was replaced by pop and dance at the time. And actually it hasn’t recovered and to be honest, current rnb music is boring as f***. Nearly every song sounds the same and / or has some lame rapper on it. But I don’t see t-pain being part of rnb‘s death. His music was trash, yes, though it was fun and somehow enjoyable. In my opinion RnB was too lazy to reinvent itself and that is why it is nearly nonexistent these days

Nah the downfall of R&B in general could easily be blamed on the late 90’s, early 2000’s artist who blurred the line between R&B and a mix of genres. R&B got so popular at one point people couldn’t tell the difference between regular fluff top 40 and urban top 40. That’s how much R&B dominated at one point. Male R&B is the part of the genre that is in shambles. Once the R&B listeners co signed the likes of Chris Brown and Trey Song because of the way they looked and not the actual talent part, it was a done deal. Tack on the J Records fold that left a lot of R&B artist in limbo and then you’ll see T Pain, isn’t even in the percentage be of who needs to be blamed.
