HER hands down the best of the night and the definition of what the Grammys is about. Quality music, quality talent and the ability to show off your craft minus a bunch of bells, whistles and distractions. Just music

Oh, i feel fine. If those vocals are the history of Motown for you than you celebrate with Jennifer, but no amount of nostalgia, outfit changes and dance steps are going to take away from that fact that she cannot sing anything but her own songs.

Janelle Monae, HER, Chloe X Halle, Gaga, and Dua Lipa & St. Vincent were the performances I liked and loved. While I still think JLO and Motown is a bad combination, I did like that she included Square Biz because later Motown is often overlooked in tribute. She did “JLO’it” up so I can understand why people would be disappointed. Can we please dispose of Camilla Cabello and her entire career? Why is she STILL anywhere talking about “Havana, ooh na na”? Ricky Martin should be ashamed for sharing that stage with her, LOL…

Ok let me say what it really appears to be. They the academy was building all this hype around JLO as the great/best performer for Motown was truly a fail because yes she’s a performer not a vocalist period. Ok everyone don’t act like JLO ? was on because it wasn’t on. Now my opinion for how bad the Grammys have snubbed and done Beyoncé they the Grammys just wasn’t bold enough to wipe their ass to asked a true vocalist/performer of this generation who would have slay that and maybe not much black lash would have been said well maybe it would have because again it’s the Grammys. a lot of great performances! Fantasia, Yolanda and Andra, Lady GaGa, H.E.R, Janelle… woooo! JLo also slayed and I thought Dua Lip and St Vincent were cute too. wasn’t here for Cardi’s lipsync but she looked awesome. Ms Diana Ross did it too and so did Dolly! That Brandi Carlile tore it up onstage but I wish Kacey would’ve brought it stronger. She sounded cute but to an Album of the Year winner her performance needed more OOMPH
oooh and let’s not forget ALICIA KEYS her segment where she gets to cover everyone was stellar

Janelle, Gaga and Diana Ross for different reasons. Diana Ross has such tremendous charisma. It´s like wow. No wonder why she had so many hits in her era.
BET hear is your chance to make a booty out of the Grammys and get it right in a perfect tribute. JLO has the dancing and in my opinion it seemed like the Grammys was trying to push for her to be iconic/ best performer knowing that thos were not her vocals because truth be tol sh can’t ? never could and they indeed cut her ? off . Now here is my suggestion to you BET in doing/getting the Motown tribute right because Motown was truly about vocals not dance per say but here are just a few names to start with that would do Motown proud Beyoncé Jill Scott Yolanda Adams Ne-Yo Faith Evans Ledesi and many others to be added to the list to give a proper tribute . BET please think about giving a good for something tribute to Motown with artist that can perform sing while performing (Beyoncé) no shade to Grammys but shade
