After years of eligibility, Janet Jackson is at long last set for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame.
Billed as one of the top honors an artist can receive in their career, the award will see the 52-year-old further cement herself as one of the greatest acts of all-time. Indisputably.
And moments ago, it was announced that Janelle Monae will be on-hand to help immortalize Ms. Jackson into the coveted Hall at the March 29th ceremony.

The eclectic singer will formally introduce Jackson at event, which takes place at the Barclays Center in New York City.
Other presenters include Harry Styles for Stevie Nicks, Queen’s Brian May for Def Leppard, Trent Reznor for the Cure, David Byrne for Radiohead, the Bangles’ Susanna Hoffs for the Zombies and John Taylor and Simon Le Bon for Roxy Music.
No word yet on whether the diva will be performing, although it tends to be customary for most inductees. One place she will be igniting is Las Vegas, when she kicks of her ‘Metamorphosis’ residency in May.
Janet joins a list of legends in the Hall, including brothers The Jacksons (as well as Michael solo), and Madonna.

Janelle is not a bad choice at all. It would have been nice for Beyonce to do it since her brand of superstar performance diva is most directly inspired by Janets movement. But Janelle is a good choice

Janet deserves Beyonce, Rihanna even Alicia Keys. I wouldn’t even be against Britney Spears as she is a global superstar, but Janelle? Most people can’t even name one of her songs.
Judging the quality of music by “people naming songs” shows you consume music based on what sells and don’t seek out music and make your own opinion.
Rihanna couldn’t perform to save her life, Janelle is much better choice than Rihanna. Beyonce would be good but Janelle, as a performer and song writer is a much better fit than Rihanna though.
