FOX Celebrate Jussie Smollett Vindication Following Collapsed Case

Published: Tuesday 26th Mar 2019 by David

FOX, the home network hit show ‘Empire,’ has hailed the outcome of Jussie Smollett‘s legal battle.

As reported, all 16 charges against the star were dropped and he will not face jail time following claims he fabricated the assault he said he endured.

Their words below…

In a statement issued via the ‘Empire’ Instagram page, 20th Century Fox said:

The brass at FOX and ‘Empire’ supported Smollett and refused to bow to pressure from critics who urged them to give him the boot once news of his assault scandal broke.

It’s notable that his omission from the final two episodes of the show’s current season was billed as necessary to avoid on-set disturbance; it was not touted as an outright axe from the show.

Their remark gives fans good reason to believe that he will return to the series for its next season. Stay tuned for more on that.

Not innocent: In an interview with CBS Chicago on Tuesday, First Assistant Cook County State’s Attorney Joseph Magats, who headed up the investigation after Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx recused herself Feb. 19, said that dropping the charges does not vindicate Smollett. “I do not believe he is innocent,” Magats said in response to a reporter’s question Tuesday. Answering why the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office then dropped the charges, Magats said, “Based on all the facts and circumstances, based on his life and criminal background. I mean, we defer and do alternative prosecutions. In the last two years, we’ve done 5,700 other felony cases.”

“We did not exonerate Mr. Smollett,” Simonton said. “The charges were dropped in return for Mr. Smollett’s agreement to do community service and forfeit his $10,000 bond to the City of Chicago. Without the completion of these terms, the charges would not have been dropped. This outcome was met under the same criteria that would occur for and is available to any defendant with similar circumstances.”

The CEO of Fox told the Mayor of Chicago that all of the charges need to be dropped if the City wanna keep making millions from Empire being filmed in Chicago.

They are trying to save face and get viewership back. At the end of the day Jussie was not proven innocent or guilty – they came to an agreeance that he would forfeit his bond and he did 2 days of community service!!!

2 days of community service after he made national news for lying about being gay bashed/attacked by maga supporters!

This is just another example of a celebrity or public figure who got away with doing something wrong with little to no consequences!

Jussie deserves to be fired. He deserves to experience consequences for actions. and he needs to shut up already! He was never innocent and he keeps saying that! Stop saying you were innocent Jussie! That was never proven!

He won’t have to pay for it because of his black privilege.
