With just days to go before Chris Brown‘s ‘Indigo’ album arrives in-stores, R&B’s leading man continues the preview party with the release of ‘Don’t Check On Me.’
Justin Bieber joins C. Breezy on the track, as does Ink (who co-produced the song with Sheldon Ferguson).
And while the trio are renown for their turn-up anthems, the cut drives in an altogether different direction (and at a surprising pace too).
Take a listen below…
Suffice to say, we weren’t anticipating a slower number. But this works.
Are you feeling it? Let us know…
This reminds me of JB’s “Love Yourself”. Not feeling it.
It’s different than the usual offering from Chris, but the song is too few and far between to really hold my interest. Justin’s vocal does NOT help the song.
Love it, best offering from Chris in a long time.
FINALLY! Chris Brown gives us a glimmer of hope as it concerns what remains of his talent, depth & artistry. This song won’t make any major impacts via music charts or popular opinion, but it’s definitely a breath of fresh air. I appreciate the stripped back production & honey coated vocals. Lyrically, this track is far more mature than the t|tty, p|_|ssy & pill narrative that he’s usually toting around. I hope INDIGO is comprised of more tracks that are layered on this side of the sonic spectrum.
Yes, yes, yes!!!! Win, Win, Win!!!! Chris sounds great, Justin sounds delicious! Get it boo!
Dang his song with drake flopped already lol
All his songs do lol. Sad part is he in his prime.
That’s because they all sound the same.
Dump ass b**** name a song that sound the same???
A small step in the right direction, but no, Chris.
Another Chris Brown album I’ll have to skip. For the past 7 years Chris has consistently released lukewarm efforts.
CB using pop artist like Drake and Justin to finally get another number 1 hit lol. Hit don’t wanna release a solo single lol
He don’t*
I love it! Good job CB! Everyone says his music is all the same yet he is outlasting these fads y’all hype up, Frank Ocean included 🙂
Kid Ink is nowhere on this song and DID NOT produce it! Yall over at TGJ are getting worse by the minute. The least you can do is report accurate information. The song features Ink, @SpillMyInk, a female producer, singer, songwriter from Atlanta. You all are sad! Did you even listen to the song? where is Kid Ink? smh…do better
Lmao to think I thought kid ink suddenly became a vocalist !!! This song really gives me the blues though , good stuff CB!
