The expectant mother promised new music and is delivering on her promise ahead of the summer birth of her first child with fiancé Orlando Bloom.

Taking to social media moments ago, Perry announced ‘Daisies’ as the lead single from her fifth LP, confirming a May 15th arrival:
The first single from #KP5 is called #DAISIES and she’s coming MAY 15, 2020
The branding of the track as the album’s “first single” will no doubt raise eyebrows given the steady flow of songs Perry has poured out over the last year (see: ‘Never Really Over,’ ‘Small Talk,’ ‘Harleys In Hawaii,’ ‘Never Worn White’).
Nonetheless, it’s cool to see her keeping the momentum going.

I’m a big fan and I wish her lots of success with this new era. But sadly, I have to be realistic. Shes 35 and a woman of that age in the pop music industry is rarely still successful. Plus she doesnt pull that many streaming numbers and hip-hop is dominating.
I do hope she manages to beat the odds and be successful this time.

Some people are doing decent like Dua Lipa, Camila… they are doing ok.
Her last album didn’t perform as well, she kind of set the bar high for herself commercially speaking. But she still did fine, the album ended up selling in the long term.
I don’t care much about her, I haven’t paid attention to any of the songs she’s put out lately, but I wish her the best. We all know her voice is… well it is what it is. But I think she has her own lane.
