Readers of That Grape Juice know how passionate we are about music – whether that be past or present.
However, unlike our other segments – Retro Rewind, TGJ Replay, and From The Vault – The Pop Stop is the most in-depth look at Pop songs that may have flown under the radar over the last week that you should know, rather they be from music’s biggest stars or those on the rise.
This week, we want to highlight cuts from The Chainsmokers, Florence + the Machine, Sigrid, and Orville Peck.

Florence + the Machine – My Love
Shortly after announcing their new album set to arrive on May 13, indie-pop group Florence + the Machine have shared the latest taste of what the album will hold with ‘My Love.’ Described as a “sad little poem,” that description lives up to its name. However, as they say, big things come in small packages and that is exactly what the production delivers with its heart-pounding beat, haunting vocals, and silky strings. With every offering from their upcoming album, Florence + the Machine not only prove that this could be their best album, but continues to prove why Florence Welch is one of the best songwriters in the game.

Sigrid – It Gets Dark
With her upcoming second album ‘How To Let Go’ set for a May 6 release date, European pop sensation Sigrid is hot on the promotional trail for the project. Case in point, she has just shared her latest single, ‘In The Dark.’ Paying tribute to the ups and downs of life, the song gleams with atmospheric synths, heavy drums, and grooving bass lines. While the song may be “dark,” it proves that Sigrid has a bright future ahead of her.
