Mo’Nique may have ignited a fire she can’t extinguish. Because a week on from her shocking on-stage tirade against D.L. Hughley, the comedienne is continuing to catch jabs left and right.
The latest comes courtesy of Hughley’s eldest daughter, Ryan Nicole Shepard.

As reported, Mo and Hughley have been going back and forth with contrasting claims regarding the headlining slot at a recent show in Detroit.
Mo’Nique’s latest move saw the drama dip to new lows when she drew on Hughley’s youngest daughter’s sexual assault at the hands of a family friend in a not-so-veiled swing at her father.
‘The Kings of Comedy’ star had been open about the harrowing situation in an interview – which ‘The Queens of Comedy’ star posted with a caption questioning his parenting.
Posting the clip, Mo wrote:
“When I said “how can DL’s wife suck the d**k of a coward”, this is what I meant. When my husband & I say we have to fight for the little girls coming up behind us & u see DL didn’t believe his own daughter over a friend, because he seemingly likes his friend more than he LOVED HIS OWN DAUGHTER & didn’t want to be bothered by the inconvenient truth. This highlights why the BLACK WOMEN isn’t believed when she publicly speaks about her trauma. What does the BLACK WOMEN & his (DL’s ) BLACK WIFE have coming. Watch who stands with this man & your looking at the same ones who will sit down, when you our sisters are being attacked. I find it funny that DL will call out ICE CUBE, KANYE, RIZZA ISLAM, ANGELA STANTON, MYSELF ETC., but he won’t call out the name of the person that violated his daughter.”

Clapping back in a lengthy comment on said post, Ryan branded Mo’Nique “poisonous” and “disgusting” for her behavior:
“Hi @therealmoworldwide I’m Ryan Nicole Shepard (D.L. Hughley and LaDonna Hughley’s eldest daughter). You’ve now publicly disrespected my mother—who I love and care for very much—and my baby sister—who I love and care for very much to get back at my father—who I love, respect and care for very much. At this point, I feel like you are asking my family and myself to act out of character.
Out of all the things you could have legitimately said about my dad, if that’s the route you wanted to take, you chose to be deliberately mean and hurtful to two black women who have nothing to do with this conversation. Using my mama and my sister to show people my father’s character only shows how little mental stability, dignity, morality and respect you have not only for yourself but other black women.
You’re clearly two crayons short of the full box sis. You’re disgusting and you absolutely need to keep every single member of MY family’s name out of your poisonous mouth. Not because you can do us harm, you can’t. But because you are adding to the historical and systematic disrespect and trauma of other black women…who you claim to love. And for what? A check? You’re bringing up trauma for a concert line-up discrepancy? All you’ve done is proven that you have no moral compass. Never one to stay quiet for too long, Mo’Nique replied moments ago – welcoming Ryan’s invitation to talk:

At this juncture and with this latest set of actions, Mo’Nique has shown herself to be all sorts of insufferable. Her commitment to being strong in her wrong is nauseating and in many ways negates any of the validity to be found in her original grievance. And, like most, we had serious questions about whether there was any validity in her volcanic tirade to begin with.
Echoing D.L.’s pretty slam dunk delivery on his show this week, the reality is that folk are losing count of how many fallouts Mo’Nique has accrued. These feuds factually cannot be everyone else’s fault every time.
Mo’Nique takes no accountability, doubles down on her wrongs, and is not elevating herself or her career in any way. There’s a clear play to present as a martyr for the cause, but the only cause at play is her ego.
It’s embarrassing. She’s embarrassing. And it’s oh so sad.

I don’t understand why she keeps feuding with people. The issue is not other people. The issue is her but she is not willing to deal with that. The entertainment industry owes her nothing. She had her season of success and that is now over but not the end. She needs to stop taking out her frustration in failing on others publicly. And how could she carelessly put Ryan’s personal trauma and pain on blast and then criticize her family for their response to the incident? What? For the record, I didn’t know anything about Ryan’s incident but NOW I do. But I’m sure Ryan was not trying to relive that incident again. In our society, so many young African American females need older African American women to be positive role models for them but Monique definitely has failed in that area. I use to respect her and enjoy her work especially with her coming from my hometown. But now, every time I hear Monique’s name mentioned, I go “What did she do now? Who she mad at now?
