Dua Lipa has made no secret of the fact that she’s been hard at work on her new studio album.
And the anticipation is sky-high following the seismic success of her 2020 sophomore effort ‘Future Nostalgia’ – home of global smashes such as ‘Levitating,’ and ‘Don’t Start Now.’
In the latest issue of Variety, Lipa appears alongside Sir Elton John – who she scored a hit with on his track ‘Cold Heart’ – in salute of the song’s 2022 touchdown.
During the interview feature, the Pop starlet offers a titillating update on the status of her incoming LP.
Find out what she had to say below…
Spilling on the project, Lipa revealed:
“It’s taken a complete turn as I’ve carried on working, and I really feel now that it’s starting to sound cohesive.”
She goes on to add:
“So I’m going to keep writing in the early months of the new year and see where that takes me. The album is different — it’s still pop but it’s different sonically, and there’s more of a lyrical theme. If I told you the title, everything would make sense — but I think we’ll just have to wait.”
The remarks come after the star shared snaps of herself in the studio with legendary Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger.

Variety’s latest issue is available now
Let’s hope it will be good as her debut. She peaked at future Nostalgia. It would be smart if she put out a future Nostalgia part 2 or side B instead of ditching out new sounds too soon💅🏾
Keep it if anything sounds like Taylor Swift or Beyoncé’s new album. Wish she can keep digging the 80’s deep
Disco sound.
Diva is still jamming future Nostalgia todays💅🏾 What a timeless masterpiece! The era is perfection, hands down! 👏🏼 The longevity reminds me of teenage dream and Good girls gone bad era.
You finally said something I agree with lol…..yaaaaaaaaaas 😂🎶🔥💯
Bish pls💅🏾 But yesssssssss fancy!
