On this week’s Mediabase pop radio airplay chart, ‘Padam’ officially cracks into the top 30.
The song reaches a new peak of #30, which is up four places from the previous week. The song earned 1,668 spins during the August 27-September 2 tracking period and grew by a total of 121 spins.
As a result of it officially reaching the top 30, the song has become her highest-peaking radio single in the US since 2004’s ‘Slow,’ which peaked at at #35.
Kylie is gearing up to release her new album ‘Tension’ on September 22.

Part of the problem is US Radio DJs didn’t know about it. In late June one of the DJs for KIIS FM named DJ Nike was doing a set at a local bar, and I asked him to play it and he didn’t even know it. He looked it up and played it and EVERYONE was dancing and loving it. It was mid July before I heard it on the radio. So from the release in May to July, clear channel was not making the song a priority. Promoting more R&B, Hip Hop type songs and Big name American pop stars.
Her people have said it was almost impossible for them initially to get her airplay in the states for this song because of her age. What’s funny is she actually has a huge Audience here and has so for decades. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t love Kylie. But the disc jockeys are mostly men and they don’t play anything thats not made by a toddler. Guys here like them YOUNG. Like practically still in diapers young. It’s disgusting 🤮☠️
