After ample teasing and delays, Nicki Minaj has finally lifted the lid on her fifth album ‘Pink Friday 2.’
The conceptual successor to her debut album, 2010’s ‘Pink Friday,’ the new project comes as her first body of new music to land on digital shelves since she conquered charts with 2018’s ‘Queen‘ (marking her longest time between studio efforts to date).
Bolstered by ‘Red Ruby Da Sleeze,’ ‘Last Time I Saw You,’ and the history-making chart-topper ‘Super Freaky Girl,’ ‘PF2’ – which feature guest appearances from her longtime Young Money collaborators Lil Wayne and Drake as well as J. Cole, Lil Uzi Vert, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, and others – arrives as the GRAMMY nominee’s birthday and is her first LP since announcing her retirement in 2019.
Ahead of the recently announced world tour designed to support the highly anticipated effort, stream ‘Pink’ inside via Spotify and Apple Music.

They said she did 60 songs for the album! But we all know when artist do that many songs sometimes they pick the best songs or they don’t!? I’m not saying it’s a bad album! Because I was feeling some songs! But when you do a album you got to be in a good space and be inspired! I wish she was in that head space like she was when she did her previous albums! Maybe take a few years off and get them creative juices working again!

Why is all this horrible auto tuned mumbling scattered throughout? Whatever she did to Big Difference made it unlistenable. The only song that can save her is “Everybody” and that’s because of the sample. It’s a chop.
Nickis storytelling is completely gone.. all her songs have no substance it’s just random lyrics and a hook that has nothing to do with the verses
I just gave the album a listen and my overall takeaway is that Nicki is ignorant AF. She kept mentioning in different songs how she has killers on speed dial who will shoot on her command. Is she referring to her husband and his friends who all wear skinny jeans and tight shirts with pot bellies?
I got tired of her singing so I definitely couldn’t listen to the song with Drake. The singing can be too much.
Two songs stood out where she’s not going to be able to dance to: The song with Uzi and the dancehall song. Tragic she does not have the rhythm to carry those songs.
One song I did like. I can’t think of it, but it sampled an oldie. Definitely wasn’t Cindy Lauper’s sample. I think it was the Bone Thug N Harmony/Biggie sample.
I will say she has nice beats, so kudos to the producers.
Nicki did her thing, a wonderful body of work.
