Like her friend and ‘WAP‘ co-star Cardi B, rapper Megan Thee Stallion is taking to the courts to fight back against bloggers and vloggers who are spreading lies about her personal life.
YouTuber Milagro Gramz is the center of a lawsuit from Stallion (born Megan Pete) that claims the social media star has used her platform to spew “lies and defamatory falsehoods” that have had a “negative effect” on the GRAMMY-winning rapper’s “mental and emotional state.”
“I’ve endured countless attacks on my character based on false narratives from social media bloggers misrepresenting themselves as journalists,” Meg told the press about the suit filed on Wednesday (October 30). “It’s unacceptable behavior and these individuals need to understand there will be repercussions for recklessly posting lies and defamatory falsehoods.”
The suit asserts Gramz is the perpetrator of cyberstalking, invasion of privacy, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and that she’s responsible for the “promotion of an altered sexual depiction” (specifically for allegedly directing her followers to a deepfake video of Megan engaging in sexual acts).
“Defendant’s conduct caused, and continues to cause, significant personal and economic harm to [Megan],” the suit outlines. “It injured her reputation and standing as a professional musician. It caused severe mental and emotional harm. It caused economic harm in Plaintiff’s efforts to remove the various ‘bots’ Defendant enlists to attach Plaintiff’s supporters.”
Elsewhere, Gramz is accused of having a “conspiratorial relationship” with rapper Tory Lanez, who is currently serving a 10-year sentence for his connection to shooting the ‘Savage‘ rapstress in the foot.
“Defendant acts as a paid surrogate used to spread [Tory]’s lies about [Megan],” the suit reads. “[Milagro] acted, and continues to act, on behalf of Daystar Peterson (also known as Tory Lanez) as an online rumor mill churning out falsehoods about [Megan] to her tens of thousands of social media followers.”
Once news of Stallion’s legal moves made it to the desk of Gramz, she quickly took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to respond.
Get her Meg! Destroy her like she’s attempting to do you. These bloggers are out of control.
I have to agree. These bloggers tend to think they can say whatever they want and that if they throw “allegedly” in front or behind it, that shields them from any accountability or responsibility for the stuff they say. However, freedom of speech is NOT freedom from responsibility. I hope Megan wins her lawsuit against her and takes her for every dime she has. And I also hope it’ll be a lesson to this bottom feeders making money off of clicks on the lies they keep telling.
