The rapper, who has been behind bars since 2022, sensationally pleaded out of his long-running racketeering conspiracy case in Georgia today (October 31).
Born Jeffrey Williams, the 33-year-old pleaded no contest to Count 1, racketeering conspiracy, and Count 56, participation in a street gang in a leadership role. Furthermore, he pleaded guilty to three drug charges and two gun charges.
Had he gone to trial and been convicted, the star’s eight counts carried a maximum of 120 years in prison.
Heading into today’s hearing, prosecutors had put a negotiated deal on the table that would have seen the MC freed from jail as early as today. The caveat being that he would be subject to probation terms that would see him jailed for a potential 23 years if he violated probation in any way.
The plea deal accepted today was “non-negotiated,” meaning the judge will determine the sentence.
