The Philadelphia Eagles may have soared to this year’s NFL championship win on Sunday (February 9), but it appears halftime show headliner Kendrick Lamar is set to take flight himself – right back to the top of Billboard charts.
Beyond raking in critical acclaim aplenty from his celebrity peers and fans alike, the ‘Squabble Up‘ star saw several entries from his prized discography enjoy massive upticks in sales and streams after his history-making Super Bowl showing.
Among the songs performed, ‘GNX‘ hits ‘Not Like Us’ and ‘Luther’ saw boosts so large the two songs are reportedly vying for the top spot on next week’s Billboard Hot 100.
As if that’s not enough to celebrate, their November 22-released parent project – which slipped to #4 on this week’s Billboard 200 – is poised to recapture the top spot on the album chart thanks to the commercial response to its favorites being showcased during halftime.
From just two days of activity, industry analysts are already predicting ‘GNX’ will bounce back to #1 with total sales of 230,000 (130,000 pure).
What’s more, reports have it two of its predecessors – ‘Good Kid M.A.A.D CITY’ and ‘DAMN’ – could also re-enter the top 10.
