Tamar Braxton is putting love on pause and motherhood first – and she’s not holding back about why.

The songstress recently graced the Sherri show with her mother Evelyn Braxton, and, during the discussion, she about up about her journey of over a year of celibacy and her dedication to raising her 11-year-old son Logan.
Speaking candidly, Tamar shared that she initially intended to remain celibate until Logan turns 18 and she shared on the challenges of introducing new relationships during Logan’s formative years, stating:
- “I didn’t want to keep introducing Logan to the people that were in my life, I just want to mentally protect him as much as I can, I don’t want to give him any abandonment issues.”
But the ‘Love & War’ singer did declare to the audience that she’s “ready to go outside,” but confirmed safety first. She shared “PrEP’d and ready,” referring to her recent revelation that she takes the HIV prevention medication pre-exposure prophylaxis.
Beyond her personal life, the singer is stirring things up with Ms Evelyn on their new cooking series ‘Cooking Sessions with Tamar & Ms E.’ premiering March 26 on CLEO TV.
