For reasons good, bad, ugly, and everything in between, 2025 was one for the books!
As the year draws to a close, That Grape Juice is reflecting on the occasions that rocked – and to some degree – maybe even reshaped the Urban and Pop cultural landscape as we know it.
Next, we’ll revisit Keri Hilson‘s long-awaited return to music after a nearly decade-and-a-half absence.
Although she’s kept busy on the acting front over the past decade, nearly 15 years separated fans of Keri Hilson from her last album, 2010’s ‘No Boys Allowed.’
The wait for a new body of work finally came to a close in 2025, however, with the long-awaited release of ‘We Need to Talk: Love.’
More than making up for lost time, ‘Talk’ arrived as a three-installment series with the first two – ‘Love‘ and ‘Drama‘ – arriving this year.
Delivered after personal struggles, professional setbacks and drama, and years of false starts, Hilson unlocked news about the LP just a month ago before quickly following with its lead single ‘Bae.’
And though the projects did not garner the commercial acclaim many of her fans would argue they deserved, the critical nods were undeniable and certainly helped introduce Ms. Keri Baby to an entire new generation of R&B lovers.
At writing, the series’ yet-titled third installment has yet to be announced.
