According to The Guardian Nigeria, the hired driver involved in the crash has been discharged from the hospital and is currently cooperating with police as they investigate the circumstances surrounding Monday’s accident on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
Authorities have indicated the driver could face reckless driving charges.
Meanwhile, the driver of the truck that Joshua’s SUV collided with reportedly fled the scene and is now being sought by authorities.
The crash claimed the lives of Joshua’s trainer and close friends, Sina Ghami and Kevin “Latif” Ayodele. The British boxing star sustained minor injuries and was treated in hospital. He has since been released.
