The political polarizer doubled down on his criticism, saying he believes the hitmaker is a “terrible choice,” despite the global superstar holding U.S. citizenship through Puerto Rico, which is a territory of the United States.

Trump shared his disappointment, telling the New York Post:

“I’m anti-them. I think it’s a terrible choice. All it does is sow hatred. Terrible.”

This isn’t the first time Trump has publicly criticized the Super Bowl halftime selection.

When the performance was initially announced, he dismissed the Latino star entirely.

Trump shared:

“I’ve never heard of him. I don’t know who he is. I don’t know why they’re doing it. It’s crazy,”

“And then they blame it on some promoter they hired to pick the entertainment—I think it’s absolutely ridiculous.”

The President also confirmed that he will not be attending the Super Bowl.

Still, with the Big Game drawing an average of more than 100 million viewers, it’ll be hard to miss Bad Bunny’s Halftime performance, whether Trump approves or not.
