Harry Styles returned to Saturday Night Live last night (March 14) and wasted no time tackling one of the most talked-about debates surrounding his public image.
The Pop superstar used his opening monologue to poke fun at long-running accusations that he has engaged in “queerbaiting,” flipping the critique into a comedic moment that quickly became one of the night’s most viral highlights.
The segment saw the 32-year-old reflect on his previous hosting stint, his recent time away from the spotlight, and the buzz around his fashion and identity. But just when the crowd thought the topic had wrapped up, the singer delivered a punchline that involved a surprise onstage kiss.

During the monologue, the Brit-Pop chart-topper looked back at his last time hosting the NBC series in 2019 and the whirlwind years that followed, including the end of his massive world tour in 2023.
He quipped:
“Back then, people seemed to pay a lot of attention to the clothes I was wearing, something called queerbaiting. And some people accused me of it, but did it ever occur to you that maybe you don’t know everything about me, Dad?”
Styles further opened up about his freshly released LP, ‘Kiss All the Time, Disco. Occasionally’
“Some people have asked me where I got that title from. I asked ChatGPT to give me the most Italian phrase to ever exist.”
Things escalated when several female cast members, including Chloe Fineman and Sarah Sherman, attempted to kiss him during the bit, all of which he declined.
However, when cast member Ben Marshall stepped forward, the Pop star leaned in for a kiss before delivering the punchline:
“Now that’s queerbaiting!”
