Hosted by Mona Scott-Young, Missy Elliott and the Black Music Action Coalition, the event brought together a powerhouse guest list including Stevie Wonder, FLO, Kenny Lattimore, Master P and more.
One of the evening’s standout moments came when an emotional Missy reflected on her decades-long relationship with Rhone, telling the guests:
“You have changed so many people’s lives…there would not be a Missy Elliott if it wasn’t for Sylvia; she saw something in me that I didn’t see in myself.”
Rhone, widely celebrated as one of the most influential executives in music history, was presented with a commemorative plaque honoring the countless artists whose careers she helped shape.
