The legal drama surrounding the estate of the late Malcolm-Jamal Warner has intensified again.
More than a year after the actor died aged 54 following an accidental drowning in Costa Rica, his widow, Tenisha Warner, has filed a lawsuit against his former business manager and financial advisor.
And the filing adds another layer to the ongoing battle involving Warner’s trust, his mother, his widow, and his daughter.

According to TMZ, Tenisha is suing a man she says worked with the ‘Cosby Show‘ star as a business manager and financial advisor for decades.
In the suit, she claims that after she and Malcolm married and welcomed their daughter, the actor instructed the advisor to update his estate plans so that his wife and child would be financially protected.
Updated documents were allegedly prepared but never finalized before the beloved performer’s sudden passing. Tenisha also claims plans for a $2 million life insurance policy intended for her and their daughter were left incomplete.
The lawsuit arrives amid a much wider family dispute. As reported, Tenisha previously sued Malcolm’s mother, Pamela Warner, seeking $1.2 million tied to alleged prenup obligations. She has also challenged the handling of the Warner Family Trust, which she says left both her and the couple’s daughter without the protection she believes Malcolm intended.
Since then, the back-and-forth has only grown more personal. Pamela has claimed Tenisha rejected a $4 million offer, while Tenisha has alleged Pamela sold the Los Angeles home she says was meant for her and her daughter.
Pamela has also accused Tenisha of cutting her off from her granddaughter, underscoring just how fractured the situation has become since Malcolm’s death.
Now, with this latest suit, Tenisha is turning attention to the estate planning she says should have been completed while Malcolm was still alive.
