Nearly 10 years after the untimely death of one of music history’s most celebrated Pop stars, fans of George Michael will get to relive his iconic 1988 ‘Faith Tour’ thanks to remastered footage being released by George Michael Entertainment and Mercury Studios in association with Globe Originals.
The filming was captured over two nights in May 1988 as Michael embarked on a global trek to celebrate his debut solo album, 1987’s ‘Faith,’ which is now one of the best-selling musical releases of all time with a reported 25 million sold worldwide.
Directed by Andy Morahan and David Austin, the highly anticipated movie is branded “an electric concert film featuring recently rediscovered, never-before-seen footage of the global superstar at the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy during the European leg of the ‘Faith Tour.'”
Set to be accompanied by the release of an 18-track live album of unreleased recordings from his group Wham! and his solo career, ‘George Michael: The Faith Tour’ dances to theaters December 11.
