The heated battle over Malcolm-Jamal Warner’s estate shows no signs of cooling as his widow Tenisha Warner is making new headlines for hurling more shocking allegations at the late ‘Cosby‘ star’s mother.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Tenisha asserts her late husband meant to leave the Los Angeles home he lived in with her and their daughter to them but the residence was recently sold by his mother Pamela and placed in the family trust.
Real estate records do corroborate the claim Warner’s Studio City, California home was sold for $1.6 million in May.
“Malcolm intended to leave his family’s California home to Tenisha and MacKenzie, but instead, Pamela sold the home and converted it to cash now held by the 1996 Trust,” the docs read. “This is the home where MacKenzie, Tenisha, and Malcolm first lived and where MacKenzie developed the core memories of her father.”
As for her current residence in Georgia, court documents obtained by ‘US Weekly’ reveal “significant mortgage of approximately $700,000 in debt” following Malcolm’s untimely death in July 2025.
“Without adequate funding, Tenisha and MacKenzie risk losing their Georgia home,” the docs read while also claiming Pamela failed to keep her promise to cover the residence’s monthly expenses. “Tenisha sacrificed her career to raise and homeschool their daughter, MacKenzie, and support Malcolm’s career, leaving the family dependent on Malcolm’s income and asset. The sudden termination of that support left Tenisha, while grieving her husband, solely responsible for the family’s mortgage, utilities, taxes, insurance, medical expenses, food, transportation, and their daughter’s education and activities.”
The accusation comes as a surprise for many given Pam’s own allegations that Tenisha declined a $4 million settlement offer.
Earlier this year, Tenisha filed a lawsuit against her mother-in-law claiming that she was entitled to $1.2 million, the reported equivalent of what her late husband promised her as part of their premarital agreement.
