Tyra Banks wants the raw footage behind Netflix’s ‘America’s Next Top Model’ documentary.
In a new filing, the supermodel is seeking unedited interviews from Miss J. Alexander, Jay Manuel, Nigel Barker, and her own three-hour conversation with producers.

Banks sued Netflix and the team behind ‘Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model’ in June, alleging the finished series used selective editing to create a false and defamatory narrative.
Now, according to TMZ’s September 10 court report, she is challenging the producers’ position that the final cut reflected ordinary editorial choices.
Her filing argues that the complete interviews are relevant to testing how the documentary was assembled and what context may have been omitted.
The former host says only 16 minutes of her three-hour interview appeared onscreen. She also disputes the project’s treatment of former contestant Shandi Sullivan’s account and suggestions that Banks failed to support Miss J after his stroke.
Banks says she did not know Sullivan viewed the incident discussed in the series as sexual assault and was unaware that it would feature in the documentary.
Netflix and the producers have denied wrongdoing. The court has not ruled on Banks’ request for the unedited material.
The latest filing keeps the battle focused on the question at the heart of reality television itself: where editing ends, and alleged distortion begins.
