Prime Video’s ‘Ride or Die‘ may have been greeted with critical acclaim upon its July 15 premiere, but fans of the series starring Octavia Spencer and Hannah Waddingham were stunned over the weekend to learn ‘Ride’ would not be rolling back onto screens for a sophomore season.
Despite its short ride on the streaming platform, however, Spencer is still reflecting on her time on the show fondly – branding its filming an “incredible experience.”
That’s not all she said.

“I hope every creative out there gets to have the incredible experience that I’ve had bringing this project to life with the unwavering support from Skydance/Paramount these past three years,” Spencer told her 2.3 million followers on Instagram before sharing, “Projects like this shouldn’t be the exception, they should be rule! For all the women out there who felt seen, laughed out loud, lived out loud with Debbie and Judith, thank you.”
All hope isn’t lost for the killer comedy yet, however.
Word on the curb is that Paramount Television Studios is shopping for a new home for the series which also stars Ed Skrein, Calam Lynch, Savannah Steyn, and Jamie Parker.
At writing, tentative news about the show’s next network has not been revealed.
