Apple Music is stepping beyond the streaming space with the launch of its first permanent live music venue.
Named Apple Music Hall, the intimate London concert space will open inside Battersea Power Station on September 28.

The new venue will host one-off performances for audiences of up to 600 people, with each show also able to be livestreamed globally.
Its 38-foot stage can be configured for traditional front-facing sets or shows in the round, while a 48-speaker system will deliver Spatial Audio throughout the hall.
Behind the stage, two recording and mixing studios will allow artists to capture a multitrack recording, broadcast-ready mix and multicamera video from a single performance.
The launch expands Apple’s live offering, which has previously delivered filmed specials from stars including Lady Gaga and Burna Boy.
Apple Music’s London-based radio hosts and shows will also broadcast from newly opened studios at the Battersea site.
No opening performer has been revealed yet. Fans can register for show and ticket announcements via the official Apple Music Hall website.
