“I’m a street disciple,” Nas told MTV News. “I’m talking to the streets. Stay out of our business. You ain’t got no business worrying about what the word ‘nigger’ is or acting like you know what my album is about without talking to me. Whether you in the NAACP or you Jesse Jackson. I respect all of them … I just want them to know: Never fall victim to Fox [News] . Never fall victim to the sh*t they do. What they do is try to hurry up and get you on the phone and try to get you to talk about something you might not know about yet.
“If Cornell West was making an album called Nigger, they would know he’s got something intellectual to say,” Nas continued. “To think I’m gonna say something that’s not intellectual is calling me a nigger, and to be called a nigger by Jesse Jackson and the NAACP is counterproductive, counter-revolutionary.”

OMG thats even worse…seriously we are taking 2 steps back if he comes out with that album title…wtf thats gonna make other races go from (ni**a) to now (ni**er) and thinks its ok
F*** WHITEY…we can use the word …U CANT… n****
The altered title is meant to be MORE contoversial.
“And to my older people who don’t now who Nas is and who don’t know what a street disciple is, stay outta this muthafuckin’ conversation. We’ll talk to you when we’re ready.”
He’s a big headed “m**********” if he thinks he can just ignore what the older generation has been through. That’s my argument when I hear anyone use the n word – “would you say that s*** in front of your parents you dumb b******?” All this word can ever promote is inequality, regardless of the context its used in.
I had a lot of respect for Nas before I heard this and I was waiting for him to come up with a good justification for using this word, sadly he hasn’t. Pathetic. And the way he jumps on the bandwagon talking about “Fox”. Damn airhead.
I don’t know. I guess it’s okay to say “n*****” if you’re black. But then again, like Ludacris pointed out in that movie “Crash” – white people don’t call each other honkeys. So, it’s for NAS to decide whether it’s moral to refer to your own people in an offending way. Afterall, he might consider the consequnces of this. If his average customer is a person with the dark skin segment (I’m talking about people with chocolate skin), his album will possibly have very low sales.
