Donald Trump will face no jail time nor receive any fines in his hush money trial. Instead, at today’s sentencing, the president-elect, received an “unconditional discharge.”

Trump was convicted in May last year on 34 counts of falsifying business records over hush-money payments in 2016. It was argued that he did so to cover up a payoff to keep a prior affair with porn star Stormy Daniels from being revealed in the public domain.
It had been earlier established that Trump would not face prison time, pay a fine, or receive probation.
Still, the political polarizer appealed the conviction.
It was denied.
Moments ago, the definitive ramification was handed down by Judge Juan Merchan in New York.
Trump’s conviction will be formally upheld, however, there will be no penalties imposed because of his president-elect’s status.
During the years-long process, the outspoken figure called Merchan “corrupt” and stressed that he felt the prosecution was politically motivated. This is despite the Judge having the power to sentence him to 4 years behind bars.
Trump is now the first convicted felon to be elected President.
