The political polarizer has made it a point of duty to buck trends during his two tenures as US President.
And, with The Trump Organization selling “Trump 2028” hats, speculation has been intensifying around the potential of the 78-year-old seeking to remain in office when his second term ends in January 2029.
However, he is pushing back the murmurs.
Speaking on NBC‘s Meet the Press with Kristen Welker, the US President said:
“I’ll be an eight-year president, I’ll be a two-term president. I always thought that was very important.”
Trump added:
“There are many people selling the 2028 hat, but this is not something I’m looking to do, I’m looking to have four great years and turn it over to somebody — ideally a great Republican.”
