Not even three months after the untimely death of pop megastar Whitney Houston, a who’s who of Hollywood songstresses and actresses began eyeing the leading role of a biopic of the ‘I Will Always Love You’ – despite none being in development at that time.
Indeed, the likes of Vivica A. Fox, Brandy, Jennifer Hudson, and more all tossed their names in a hat should the role ever present itself. However, nearly two years since Houston’s death, one actress has continuously made it known her desire to portray the singer in a movie – Meagan Good.
Recently, according to TheWrap, Good has been making good on her interest to depict the life of Houston on film. In a movie reportedly helmed by Houston’s mentor Clive Davis, rumor has it Good has already began developing the film, but (as of time reporting), no studio has picked it up.

i just don’t think meagan good is right for the role and definitely none of the obvious people like angela basset kelly rowland, jennifer hudson, brandy, those people are too obvious and i don’t think they could wit fit my that’s just my personal opinion i could be proved wrong, i say solange knowles, gabrielle union, raven symone, zoe saldana, nia long, Anika Noni Rose, sanaa lathan, or maybe even one of the mowry twins these women are all more than experienced actresses and have brought some pretty heavy stuff to the table as they’ve grown and they’re all strong and versatile i believe that each one of them could truly capture the character and the person of whitney houston

Kiki Palmer would be a good choice, she resembles her more than any of the above mentioned and she has real acting chops. Let’s face it, anyone that does play “The Voice” will be lip sinking to her music, so as far as looks and acting Kiki Palmer has my vote. As much as I like Jennifer Hudson, this is not the role for her, even with her voice, the voices are just polar opposites and Jennifer will try to belt out every song of Whitney’s not really doing them justice.

All of your choices suck. No Kelly Rowland, No Keke, No JHud, none of them. It needs to be an unknown who can REALLY ACT and who has model good looks, beautiful brown skin. and a big smile.
And anyone who writes lip synching as “lip sinking” needs to not have their opinion considered at all.

Y’all are all wrong. The only real choice is Heather Headley, who’s currently starring to rave reviews as Whitney in the stageplay, The Bodyguard. http://youtu.be/5zY9KdnVK3g
