Director Quentin Tarantino has teased the release of a ‘Django Unchained’ television series this week, spilling details on the potential project during a press conference held at 2014’s ‘Cannes Film Festival.’
Details on the release below!
Set to star all of the actors placed in the Jamie Foxx-led movie, Quentin said of the series:
“I have about 90 minutes of Django that hasn’t been seen so the idea is to cut together a four-hour version, but not show it like a four-hour movie. I’d cut it up into one-hour chapters like a four-part miniseries and show it on cable television. People love those! A four-hour movie is a difficult proposition, but with binge watching all the rage, he laughed, “they’d be dying to watch all four episodes in one go.”
Released on December 25th 2012, ‘Unchained’ enjoyed the benefit of a $100 million budget and leading roles filled by ‘Scandal‘s Kerry Washington, ‘Wolf of Wall Street’s Leonardo DiCaprio, ‘Goodfellas‘ actor Samuel L.Jackson and the aforementioned Foxx, who scored its leading role after seeing it rejected by Will Smith.
I loved Django Unchained. Everybody loved it really. What a great time at the theatre. Tarantino´s scripts are so juicy and the performances were outstanding.
