ABC is pulling out the big guns when it comes to their fall lineup.

Not only did the network announce a new show starring Viola Davis, they’ve got a new family comedy starring none other than our favorite “Girlfriend” Tracee Ellis Ross called “Black-ish.”

Check out the trailer for the hilarious new show behind the jump…

Ross and her husband, played by Anthony Anderson, are tasked with teaching their upper-middle class kids about their roots. However, things go awry when their eldest son decides he wants a bar mitzvah like his friends. Find out how these nifty parents handle this tricky situation in the trailer below.

“Black-ish,” co-executive produced by Anderson and Lawrence Fishburne, will air on Wednesdays at 9:30 p.m. this Fall on ABC.

Will you be watching this coming fall?

This looks very boring. I’m sorry, I get that you want to show positive images of black people but this is LITERALLY boring. I’m not asking for drama but this show looks very dull. I’m really sorry to say it but it’s true.

Who wrote this s***? Do you know how stupid it is to assume that wealthy black kids are out of touch with their cultures? We live in the internet age boo boo, everybody is in touch with EVERYTHING.

Seeing something on the internet and actually experiencing it are two different things!! Most rich black parents try to keep their kids far away from what most consider “black culture”. Notice I said MOST,not all. My mom wasn’t rich at all,but she kept me and my brother in private schools and we had the “best” of everything. It wasn’t until I got to college when I finally connected to my culture. She didn’t even want me to attend an HBCU but I did!!!

Sis, there’s a difference between Black culture and Urban culture even though Urban stems from Black.
Rich black folk are just as black as poor black folk so I wanna know why this show is called Black.ish, like to say the ish comes from the fact that they’re not poor, or ghetto or struggling.

Don’t forget that the Banks were rich, black and republican.

It’s actually BECAUSE of the internet that people are out of touch. I work with white and black youth and the whites have very skewed images of blacks based off of what they see and hear from media. Some whites have an unjustifiable fear of black people; the darker the person the greater the fear. I’m not really sure a comedic approach works with this subject matter. It has to have a serious element somewhere.

I’m just excited that ABC will now have 3 shows featuring African American line-ups! This is truly a start. Of course, you guys are already bashing it because it’s no pleasing people. However, as a person of mixed-race I do think this will be a very interesting and true show. The target demographic isn’t black people so who cares. The target for this show is similar to Modern Family, Raising Hope, etc.

I don’t mind a few jokes, but the concept appears heavily stereotyped with everything being one big race joke. Everybody Hates Chris walked a fine line with similar content and managed to do well until the last season, but from all appearances, “Black-ish” is overly concerned with race. I predict a mid-season cancellation, if it even makes it that far.

I support good shows so I won’t support a show JUST BECAUSE it has a black cast. This would be cool if it was funny but it’s not, so it will get cancelled unless they hire some new writers.

Lord, here yall go. The show looks decent and I’m so glad a show is not only showing a Black family but addressing race in a way so people will not get offended. Of course, some will call it corny and not watch but will continuously watch Scandal and Being Mary Jane, the shows the perpetuate negative stereotypes about African Americans and still manage to maintain high ratings.
