And it just keeps getting better for VH1‘s ‘Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’!
Executive-produced by Mona-Scott Young and Brad Abramson and led by its breakout star Joseline Hernandez, the series welcomed its highest rated episode of its third season this week, outperforming its season premiere seven weeks into its cycle!
Good news below…
With ESPN‘s Monday night airing of the ‘FIFA World Cup’ pulling in 9.7 million viewers, ‘Atlanta’ came in at #2 on the Cable Ratings tally thanks to the 3.89 million viewers than tuned in to catch its eighth episode, billed ‘Change of Course.’
With this figure, ‘Course‘ becomes the highest rated ‘Love & Hip Hop Atlanta‘ episode of its third season, casting a shadow on its season premiere which turned up to the ratings party with 3.76 million viewers to its name.
While season 2’s ‘Lord of the Rings’ stands as the only traditional ‘Atlanta‘ episode to cross the 4 million threshold in a single airing, ‘Course’s viewing figures make it the first episode since ‘Rings’ to cross the 3.8 million mark, setting a new record for itself and extending its lead over ‘Love & Hip Hop: New York.’
Indeed, ‘New York’s and ‘Atlanta’s respective third seasons are compared, ‘New York’ soon finds itself trumped by its Southern sister, pulling in more than a 2.59 million viewers in its strongest episode, while seeing episodes 8 and 9 failing to even match ‘Atlanta’s eighth episode, even when its viewing figures are combined to make a grand total of 3.4 million.
Catch its ninth episode when it airs June 23rd, only on VH1.
Surprised it’s doing so well without K. Michelle. She brought the comedy aspect to the show! Can’t wait until her own show comes out
I still watch expecting K to pop up somewhere.
I like how y’all write, mad professional and s***.
Anyone else think they need to recast the entire New York cast? They’re boring.
