Nine years after it stormed through Pop culture’s door in controversial style, the Urban shock video sharing site WorldStarHipHop is to be made into a feature film!
Details below…
Boasting 30 million unique visitors per month, the website recently caught the attention of Paramount Insurge, who bought a pitch for a film inspired by the website, penned by ‘How to Make it in America’ writer Ian Edelman.
Calling on Hip Hop mogul Russell Simmons to serve as one of its producers, the movie’s creators have eyed New York City for the setting of their story and plan to begin shooting scenes in the Fall, doing so under the watchful eye of the site’s creator Q Worldstar.
‘Deadline’ adds:
Plot is being kept under wraps but is described as being akin to Ferris Bueller’s Day Off in tone.
