With ‘Fast & Furious’ Neal Moritz serving as producer again, ‘Summer’ will make a gruesome return to movie theatres thanks to moves made by Sony, who saw its original pull in $125 million at the Box Office with a little help from actress Jennifer Love Hewitt.
Though yet to announce a release date for the project, the movie will pull from the Lois Duncan of the same name, telling the story of a group of friends being hunted by a stalker hell bent on making them pay for the accidental murder of a young boy the year before.
News of its arrival comes eight years after the straight-to-DVD effort that was ‘I’ll Always Know What You Did Last Summer’ starring ‘Comeback Season’ actress Brooke Nevin.
