Ajaypal Singh Banga‘s ‘MasterCard‘ has opened its doors to the ‘Cool‘ Gwen Stefani this year, inviting her to represent the company before the release of her hotly anticipated new album and its supporting tour.

Last year, Justin Timberlake joined forces with the multinational financial services corporation to ink a multiyear partnership, which spawned the ‘Priceless Surprises’ program.
This year, Gwen became the face of that program and now stars in a campaign to push its perks, also starring in a commercial named ‘Priceless Surprises from Gwen Stefani and MasterCard.’
In exchange for her support? Money…and lots of it.
For, her deal with the company sees them obliged to support her forthcoming album, future No Doubt projects and launch a number of Gwen-related live events.
Billboard Biz adds:
“Gwen appeals not just to youngsters but to an older generation” says Raja Rajamannar, chief marketing officer for MasterCard Worldwide. “She has a very strong presence that we think will advance our global position.” Adds Joe Dimuro, president of the Frukt North America agency: “Gwen does well in several international territories, particularly Asia Pacific, and there’s a high degree of notoriety and equity in her brand. Over the next six months, you’ll see another surge in popularity.”
