Madonna, Iggy Azalea, Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift are among a group of stars accused of using African-American culture to further their own creative gains by the actress Amandla Stenberg.
The ‘Hunger Games’ actress used a Tumblr post named ‘Don’t Cash Crop My Cornrows‘ to reveal why she believed concepts spawned by African-Americans were being used to add edge to Caucasian performers…despite being shunned by the corporations behind these acts when the same ideas are fronted by African-Americans.

For, Janet Jackson’s 1993 album ‘Janet’ saw her address a similar problem with the number ‘New Agenda’, doing so 21 years before the rapper Azealia Banks took to the ‘Hot 97’ radio station to describe what she believed was a “cultural smudging” of black artists in Pop culture.
