Disney are to remake the Whoopi Goldberg classic ‘Sister Act’, reviving it 23 years after its original reached movie theatres!

‘Sister’ tells the story of a Reno lounge singer who joins a convent after witnessing the murder of her boyfriend’s chauffeur.
The original movie generated over $230 million globally and went on to spawn ‘Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit’ which starred the singer Lauryn Hill.
Disney’s remake is being penned by ‘Legally Blonde’ writers Karen McCullah and Kirsten Smith as well as Allison Shearmur of the live action remake of ‘Cinderella.’
Fans are yet to learn if Goldberg has signed on to star in the project and doing so would mean for her role on the hit TV series ‘The View.’

Oh hell no. Don’t touch a classic of Whoopis! Why they keep making remakes n unnecessary sequels that are clearly unneeded. It does no justice at all and turns ppl who seen the original away. Smh where’s the originality.

No….When I see “Disney” attached, I can’t see them casting anybody worthy of the vocal slayage that is lauryn hill and Ryan Toby, the guy that sang oh happy day.
This would be a great idea if it was another sequel and if Whoppi starred and coproduced.
They should never touch sister act! That was a really good movie.
They should be embarrassed that they’d even think of doing a remake so soon. Hollywood has so many unemployed script writer waiting for their script to be picked up and they choose to take another great film and remake it???????????? just GTFOOH.
