It’s a double dose of good news for FOX hit ‘The Real.’
The daytime talker, which is fronted by Tamar Braxton, Tamera Mowry, Adrienne Bailon, Jeanie Mai, and Loni Love, has been renewed for two new seasons.
Details below..
FOX’s commitment to the syndicated talk show (now in its second season) is fuelled by its strong performance during its current sophomore run.
Compared to its debut season, the series has risen 14% with women 25-54, averaging a 0.9 rating in the demo. What’s more, in markets where ‘The Real’ airs after ‘The Wendy Williams Show,’ it’s managed to retain 100% of the ‘Wendy’ audience.
The network’s dual order sees ‘The Real’ confirmed to air through both the 2016 and 2017 TV seasons.
Naturally, Warner Bros – who produce the show are elated. Its President of Domestic Distribution Ken Werner said of the news:
“The Real in its second season has expanded on its promise of connecting with the diverse daytime television viewers and is delivering substantial ratings growth in the process.
The series did not invent this genre of television program, nor are they only talk panel on television, but what The Real has done is differentiate itself from the others, quickly becoming an original, distinct and entertaining hour that has giving viewers a reason to make an appoint each and every day.”
Frank Cich, Fox Television Stations SVP of programming added:
“The Real has been an important piece in building our growing daytime lineup. In fact, in our universe, it often beats or ties The View. That alone is worth two more years in my book.’”

In a crowded talkshow arena, ‘The Real’ has succeeded in making a name for itself and cementing its presence amidst a younger crowd.
We look forward to seeing how the show evolves moving forward.
Congrats to all involved!
