Idris Elba To Star In ‘The Dark Tower.’
Idris Elba may have missed out on the opportunity to portray the iconic spy James Bond but that’s done little to stop him from bagging the lead role in the movie ‘The Dark Tower.’
The British actor has been enlisted to portray gunslinger Roland Deschain in the Stephen King project which is also set to star Mathew McConaughey who will portray the Man in Black.
King wrote the Deschain character as white — at least that is how he is depicted in the book cover illustrations — but in Elba they get a top actor who has shown in the BBC series Luther and other works that he is a movie star with swagger.
A release date for the movie is yet to be announced.

Yesterday fans of ‘Sweet Sixteen’ singer Beyonce learned that she is to travel to New Orleans to begin work on a brand new music video.
